Zeefdruk
Zeefdruk is uiterst geschikt voor het bedrukken van bijvoorbeeld kunstwerken, textiel en cd’s of dvd’s en vindt zijn oorsprong waarschijnlijk in Japan. In een raamwerk wordt fijn gaas gespannen zodat er een zeef ontstaat. Vervolgens wordt er een lichtgevoelige laag op aangebracht die wordt belicht. De donkere gedeelten worden vervolgens weggewassen. Zo ontstaan er open vlakken waar de inkt door heen kan worden gedrukt. Met een rakel wordt vervolgens de inkt door de “zeef” op de onderlaag gedrukt. Dat kan bijvoorbeeld papier zijn maar dus ook een cd geperste. De zeefdruk techniek is minder geschikt voor foto’s en uitgebreide afbeeldingen, daar kan beter offset voor worden gebruikt.
